School/Family Communication

Meetings between the class teacher and parents are an essential part of the school's educational philosophy. They assist with the exchange of information and the building of bonds between child, teacher and parent.

They also provide a chance for you to:

  • learn about the work your child is doing and will be doing during each term
  • share ideas about behaviours, expectations and needs of your child
  • understand what you can do to assist with the education of your child
  • discover more about the educational philosophy and teaching methods of the school
  • observe the work of your child

Parent Teacher Interviews

Once a term you are expected to attend an interview with the class teacher to discuss the specifc progress of your child in the context of the class. These interviews are a vital way for you to understand the educational and social development of your child in the school.
