and a feeling of responsibility -
these are the three forces
which are the very nerve of education"

Enrolment Applications

pic4If you have a pre-school child, or have friends and neighbours who intend enrolling at this school, please see the links to the forms below, or contact the office for an enrolment application form. It is important for future planning to have an accurate record of enrolments for the years ahead.

The school has an enrolments and application policy which outlines the process of entry to the school. An interview with the Class Teachers is a vital step in this process. A summary of the Admissions Process is available for download here or the Policy can be viewed in full the office.

It is essential that all families have lodged and signed an Application Form as part of their admission to the school.

School Funds

The School derives its recurrent or operating expenditure from five main sources:

  • Fees and charges from parents
  • State and Commonwealth Government funding on a per student basis
  • Capital grants and other special purpose grants from the Commonwealth Government
  • Fundraising by the parents, and other special efforts
  • Donations and grants from individuals, groups and philanthropic organisations

Tuition Fees

pic2Fees are payable in advance at the beginning of each term within 21 days of receiving the invoice. The school has implemented a clear Fee Retrieval Policy which forms part of a Conditions of Admission Form that all new parents/guardians sign on joining the school.

The school has kept tuition fees to a minimum in order to remain accessible to all families. This requires that the school community as a whole supports the school's fundraising activities. Some commitment, in the form of giving some of their own time, is expected of all families.

see above for forms to download

Enrolment Application Fee

A non-refundable enrolment application fee of $100 is payable with the enrolment application.

Entry Bond

Entry into the school (ie Prep to Class 8) requires the payment of an Entry Bond of $600. See the document Conditions of Admission for further information.

Fee Assistance

Fee Assistance is a reduction in the fees charged in the current year for families who are in particularly difficult financial situations and cannot meet the fee requirements of the school. Application for Fee Assistance can be made each November for the following year. Fee Assistance will only apply to school fees and not to the extra charges and expenses of sending the child to school, eg music fees, excursions, specialist equipment or other school activities. Donations to this fund are very much appreciated.

Excursions/special events: Approx $200-400 per student per year, according to year level.

Individual class levy for text books: Approx. $30 per year for senior students.

pic3Tax Deductible Building Fund and Library Fund Donations

We urge parents to contribute to either the school building fund or school library fund each year, beyond the fees. These donations are tax deductible for income tax purposes. They do not appear on your account to protect your tax deductibility. The Administrative Council encourages all families to contribute at least $200 per year to these funds. Extra donations are very much valued as we continue our building projects. Our wonderful buildings add enormously to what we are trying to achieve. Please consider whether you can afford a more substantial donation to increase the facilities that your children, and those of the future, will enjoy at their school.

Conveyance Allowance and Education Maintenance Allowance

The Conveyance Allowance - is paid to parents who convey their child/ren more than 4.8km to school (one way) and is to assist with travel costs.

The Education Maintenance Allowance - is for parents who are holders of health care cards, pension cards or similar and is to assist with educational costs.

Application to the Department of Education for these two allowances is made through the administration of the school and is advertised through the school newsletter. This payment is made twice yearly through the school, at the end of the second and fourth terms. Conveyance Allowance is paid every term.

Because the Kindergarten receives State Government funding, Kindergarten families with a Health Care Card receive a financial rebate as a deduction from their term 3 and 4 fees from the State Government. You must take your card to the office in Term 1 to claim this rebate, which is approx. $730 in 2009.
